Astrocartography reads your birth moment, not your birth place: born in Tokyo or in Lima at the same instant, your lines are the same. The place matters for one thing only, reading your birth time in the right time zone. If you add a time, add the place too.
The four angles
The Midheaven is your public peak: the work people see you for, the reputation you build, the goal you climb toward. A planet crossing your MC line in a city puts that planet's theme in front of everyone there, for better or worse. This is the line ambition follows.
The IC sits opposite the MC: private, not public. Home, family, the roots you come from or the ones you plant. A planet on your IC line in a city makes that place feel like home, or forces you to face what home even means. This is the line rest follows.
The Ascendant is how you show up: your instinct, your first move, the version of you a new place pulls forward. A planet on your AC line in a city changes how you walk into a room there, sometimes before you have said a word. This is the line first impressions follow.
The Descendant is the mirror: partnership, the people you attract, what shows up to meet you. A planet on your DC line in a city shapes who walks into your life there, romantic or not. This is the line relationships follow.
